Scott Esbit, HIS

Hearing Instrument Specialist

My name is Scott Esbit and I am originally from Southern California. Along with my wife, Judy of 24 years and our two teenage boys, I moved to North Tucson in 2006 to manage SoundPoint Hearing Centers in the Greater Tucson area.

Licensed in California & Arizona, the past 25 years I have personally assisted over 15,000 hearing impaired individuals as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Although each patient has individual needs, some are more challenging then others. Through persistence and expertise, I have successfully resolved many problematic cases. My experience also includes manufacturing ear molds as well as repairing hearing aids. I have had board member positions with Hearing Health Care Providers of California and Arizona. As a Certified Loop Installer, I have looped venues including residential homes as well as churches, community centers and office buildings.

My past formal education included 3 years in college studying electronics & refrigeration controls. However, I was given the opportunity to take over my family business in 1980 and for over 10 years, I furnished & renovated hotels nationwide. Just after entering the Hearing Health Care industry in 1991, I assisted my wife in opening up her health food store in 1998 that she owned until we moved to Arizona in 2006. During this time, I also was the owner of Better Hearing Aid & Vision Center in Pasadena, California.

Personally, playing the drums and several other percussion instruments has been one of my life long passions. Recently, I have been able to once again pursue my interest in participating as a drummer in a local band. On a daily basis, I also take care of my garden which has been another passion since childhood. As a family, we enjoy the outdoors and spend a great deal of time skiing in the White Mountains of Arizona.

My professional as well as my personal life has always been one of service. It has given me the opportunity to enhance the quality of life for the hearing impaired and is most definitely rewarding. Please allow me the opportunity to change the quality of your life. Come visit me at SoundPoint Hearing Centers in Oro Valley or on West Grant Road in West Tucson.

Patient Services Coordinator

My name is Cheryl Press, and I am originally from New York and moved to Arizona from Kansas City, MO in 2019 with my husband and three dogs. In our spare time we like to spend time with our dogs at our home and enjoy the views of the Arizona mountains. We’ve enjoyed traveling over the years, particularly in the Southwest and western U.S. We are thrilled to be able to enjoy the weather, the views, our dogs (they love it here too), and the desert life daily.

I have 20 plus years of customer service and technical support skills that I bring to my job as the Patient Services Coordinator in Oro Valley AZ. I really enjoy interreacting with the patients and helping them make their life better by giving them better hearing. It’s a great feeling when a patient brings a hearing aid into the office that is not working, and I am able to make it work by adjusting or cleaning the hearing aid. I use my technical skills to help the patients with issues such as pairing their phones with their hearing aids.

I look forward to working here for many years to come.
